We’re looking for a Technical Manufacturing Manager with deep engineering expertise and strong leadership capability to play a critical role in this exciting new chapter. This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of molded fiber by leading Maintenance & Engineering at our Van Wert, Ohio facility & interfacing with our corporate PMO team.

Your Impact:
In this role, reporting to the Van Wert Plant Manager, you'll manage maintenance departments, lead a team of engineers and technical experts, and ensure our materials, processes, and equipment meet the stringent requirements of the food packaging industry.

You will bring analytical rigor, stock prep and fiber processing expertise, and a passion for solving complex problems in a fast-paced environment. You’ll collaborate cross-functionally with manufacturing, planning & scheduling, purchasing, and Corp PMO teams.

What You’ll Do:

• Lead product and equipment validations, using enhanced data analysis to ensure performance, quality, and regulatory compliance.
• Act as the primary technical liaison for customer engineering teams, offering technical documentation, on-site support, and process insights.
• Own the qualification and implementation of alternate raw materials, driving innovation and cost-effectiveness.
• Drive continuous improvement of formulations and production procedures for better performance and repeatability.
• Collaborate with manufacturing on equipment commissioning, process optimization, and technology integration.
• Serve as a key member of plant leadership teams to overcome technical challenges and meet operational goals.
• Investigate and diagnose technical issues, resolving complex problems on-site by utilizing strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. 
• Create and implement comprehensive preventive maintenance schedules for machinery, tools, and facilities based on manufacturer manuals and maintenance history. 
• Manage, mentor, and empower a team of technical professionals — fostering a culture of safety, innovation, and accountability.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field preferred (Mechanical, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or similar preferred).
• 5 years of experience in technical roles supporting manufacturing, preferably in the molded fiber industry.
• 5 years of leadership experience managing technical or engineering teams.
• Strong knowledge of pulp/stock prep, molded fiber process optimization.
