What are the responsibilities and job description for the Part- Time Custodian position at TekniPlex?
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, shampooing and sanitizing floors, restrooms, and common areas.
- Washing walls and cleaning glass partitions, and mirrors and removing rubbish.
- Empty and clean breakroom coolers.
- Emptying trash receptacles and ensuring proper waste disposal.
- Using and maintaining cleaning equipment like floor scrubbers, vacuums, and other specialized machinery.
- Clean and polish furniture and fixtures.
- Deep clean and disinfect breakroom, restrooms, and high touch areas regularly.
- Ensuring restrooms and cleaning stations are adequately stocked with necessary supplies (soap, paper towels, toilet paper, gloves).
- Clean spills using a sweeper, shovel, or any other equipment as necessary.
- Monitor cleaning supply inventory and report low stock to the appropriate personnel.
- Ensure all tasks are completed in compliance with company cleanliness and safety standards.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Previous janitorial or custodial experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting preferred.
- Must be able to operate a floor scrubber and basic cleaning equipment.
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screen.
- Ability to work independently, take initiative, and stay on task.
- Strong work ethic and commitment to workplace cleanliness.
- Must be physically capable of standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 40 lbs for extended periods.
- Reliable, punctual, and detail-focused.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Production facility with loud machinery and varying temperatures
SCHEDULE
- Rotating 2-2-3 schedule
- 12p – 8p (56 hours per pay-period)
