Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Shipping Clerk to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing the flow of goods in and out of our warehouse, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all shipping and receiving operations. This position requires strong attention to detail, basic math skills, and the ability to operate warehouse equipment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Key Responsibility for all Employees.
· All employees have the authority and responsibility to ensure Teknia-NA complies with customer and stakeholder requirements.
· All employees should have training and awareness of how their work impacts our customers and stakeholders.
GENERAL PLANT
· Receives incoming components and raw materials, verifies received quantities versus supplier documentation, and labels steel and components.
· Performs cycle counts.
· Prepares shipping documentation for outgoing customer shipments using computer and ERP system.
· Prepares shipping documentation for outgoing outside processing shipments using computer and ERP system.
· Receive incoming outside processing shipments using computer and ERP system and label containers.
· Assist in corrective actions with shipping issues and customer complaints that may arise.
· Follows current automotive standard work instructions and procedures.
QUALITY
Cycle count and inventory accuracy.
Notifies appropriate personnel regarding discrepancies in supplier or customer documentation or inventory issues.

REQUIRED TRAINING
- Forklift Safety and Maintenance
- Swing Reach Lift
- Swing Reach Battery Installation and Eye Wash Care
- Overhead Crane
- Microsoft Dynamics Inquiry/Transactions
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High School diploma or equivalent. Minimum 2-year related experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
· Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, work instruction, maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
· Ability to write routine correspondence.
· Ability to speak effectively to employees and subordinates of organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.
REASONING ABILITY
- Ability to assess needs, arrange priorities, plan and coordinate activities.
- Apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
