Position: Engineering Compliance SpecialistLocation: NYDuration: 6 monthsHours per week: 40 hours per week Job Description:Our client is seeking a compliance-focused engineer to support investigations related to equipment issues and quality deviations. This role centers on identifying root causes, defining corrective actions, and guiding teams through structured problem-solving. The engineer will work closely with maintenance, operations, quality, and EHS teams to ensure issues are resolved quickly and in alignment with site expectations. A key part of the job includes helping strengthen safety programs, including equipment safety practices and lockout/tagout processes. This role is well-suited for someone who can analyze situations clearly, collaborate across functions, and drive solutions in a fast-moving environment. Day-to-Day ResponsibilitiesLead investigations for equipment-related deviations and document findings with clear, logic-based reasoning.Perform root-cause analysis and help define corrective and preventive actions for recurring issues.Partner with engineering and maintenance to understand equipment behavior and support troubleshooting.Work with EHS teams to reinforce equipment safety programs and improve LOTO compliance.Collaborate with operations and quality groups to ensure timely follow-up and closure of investigations.Support site processes by improving investigation workflows, documentation practices, and cross-team communication.Must-Have SkillsEngineering background or equivalent technical experience, strong investigation and RCA skills, 3 years of experience in equipment or compliance work, and the ability to communicate clearly across teams. Bonus / Nice to HaveExperience supporting safety programs, EHS initiatives, or equipment safety practices. Education:Engineering degree preferred
Salary : $45 - $50
