Pay Rate: $31.00/hr 10% shift differential
Employment Type: Contract (Temp-to-Hire after 6 months)
Schedule: Full-time, 2nd Shift (2:30 PM 11:00 PM)
Location: Elma, NY 6860 Seneca St (Plant 24)
FAA: Safety Sensitive Work FAA Drug & Alcohol Program Required
Tekberry is looking for a highly qualified and motivated Assembly & Test Technician II to work on-site with our client, a global leader in aerospace and motion control technologies. This position supports the Commercial Aircraft Group and involves precision assembly and testing of hydraulic, pneumatic, and electro-mechanical systems used in aircraft components.
This role requires strong mechanical aptitude, experience working with technical drawings, and the ability to diagnose and troubleshoot assembly or test failures in a manufacturing environment.
Contractors in this position are expected to convert to full-time employees after approximately six months based on performance and business needs.

ResponsibilitiesAssembly & Production
Perform precision assembly of hydraulic, pneumatic, and electro-mechanical components and systems.
Use mechanical and electronic measurement tools, specialized fixtures, gauges, and torque equipment.
Work from engineering drawings, work instructions, and parts lists to meet product build requirements.
Perform repairs and rework on production units when required.
Testing & Diagnostics
Set up and conduct operational testing on high-precision test stands.
Utilize hydraulic, pneumatic, and electronic testing equipment to verify performance.
Diagnose test failures and recommend corrective actions or configuration changes.
Documentation & Operations
Record test results and provide written communication on performance outcomes.
Complete administrative and documentation tasks supporting production operations.
Support team productivity, data collection, and continuous improvement initiatives.
High school diploma or GED (or equivalent demonstrated ability to follow technical instructions).
At least 3 years of related technical manufacturing or assembly experience.
Ability to read technical drawings and work instructions.
Experience using precision measurement tools and mechanical assembly equipment.
Strong troubleshooting and mechanical diagnostic skills.
Aerospace, automotive, or electro-mechanical manufacturing experience.
Experience working with hydraulic systems or test stands.
Experience in regulated manufacturing environments.
Onsite manufacturing environment.
2nd shift schedule with potential training on 1st or 3rd shift.
Position requires standing for extended periods and working with mechanical components.
