Job Title: L3 Support Deskside
Location: Huntsville, AL (Onsite) or Buffalo, WV (Onsite)
About the Role: We are seeking an L3 Support Desk side to ensure the 24/7 reliability of our plant-floor server, storage, and network systems. You will perform per-shift system health checks, provide "smart-hands" hardware support (installs, refreshes, break/fix), and conduct wireless audits to maintain seamless connectivity for our onsite automated logistics fleet. This role involves active network maintenance, basic application troubleshooting, and incident escalation.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform shift-readiness and health checks across server, storage, and network infrastructure
- Provide onsite smart-hands support for hardware installations, upgrades, and device swap
- Monitor plant-floor network, telecom closets, and server environment
- Conduct routine wireless/Wi-Fi audits to identify and remediate connectivity interference
- Respond to P1–P3 infrastructure incidents, handle user access administration, and submit change requests (RFCs)
- Execute physical network maintenance (switch installations, port activation, cabling/power coordination
Required Skills & Experience
- Experience with Windows and Linux server administration in an on-premises environment
- Strong networking fundamentals (OSI model, TCP/IP) and hands-on Wi-Fi troubleshooting
- Experience with basic application support and infrastructure troubleshoot
- Comfort working fully onsite in an active manufacturing or industrial environment
- Willingness to support an on-call rotation, including some weekend or shift covers
Preferred Skills (Nice-to-Have)
- Experience with standard infrastructure monitoring/observability tools (e.g., PRTG, Cisco DNAC, SCOM, Nagios, Sysmon)
- Familiarity or exposure to AMR/AGV robotics platforms or fleet management software (e.g., MiR, OTTO, Omron, JBT, Creform)
- Basic exposure to cloud computing environment.
