Key Responsibilities
In this dual-impact role, you will lead the design of vertical and horizontal alignments while simultaneously driving business development efforts to secure new work. You will serve as the technical and strategic anchor for our Transportation Team.
Advanced Design: Analyze and design complex vertical and horizontal alignments following AASHTO specifications and FHWA guidelines.
Project Leadership: Prepare high-quality plan sets within budget and scope, utilizing OpenRoads and other Bentley products.
Compliance & Review: Review roadway, bridge, traffic, and sidewalk plans for completeness and strict adherence to ODOT/OTA requirements.
Business Development: Actively market the firm’s capabilities and secure new project opportunities through client relationship management.
Systems Design: Lead the design and analysis of culverts and storm sewer systems.
Collaboration: Coordinate with subconsultants and multidisciplinary teams to ensure plan continuity and meet strict project timelines.
Candidate Requirements
We are looking for a veteran transportation engineer with a deep understanding of the public sector landscape in Oklahoma. This role requires a hands-on leader who thrives in a collaborative, in-office environment.
Licensure: Valid and active State of Oklahoma Professional Engineer (PE) license (Reciprocity is welcome).
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited university.
Experience: 7 years of heavy highway design experience with a documented history of working with public sector agencies (ODOT/OTA or equivalent in other states).
Technical Mastery: High proficiency in Bentley products (OpenRoads), Civil 3D, and Microsoft Office.
Leadership: A proven record of delivering superior project management and a drive for business development.
