Utility Superintendent — Heavy Civil Infrastructure (NYC Area)

What You’ll Do
Lead daily field operations for utility installation projects (storm/wastewater sewer and water main)
Direct foremen, craft labor, and subcontractors to meet schedule and budget targets
Plan work sequencing, manpower, equipment, and material needs
Coordinate inspections, quantity verification, and layout/mark-outs
Oversee excavation support, dewatering activities, and work around existing utilities
Enforce safety practices and ensure compliance with union rules and project specifications
Partner with procurement, engineering, and project management to maintain progress and quality
Monitor productivity, troubleshoot field issues, and keep projects moving efficiently
What You Bring
15 years of heavy civil construction experience, including utility work
Proven supervision of multiple crews on active jobsites
Knowledge of NYC union environments and public-agency projects
Strong understanding of construction methods, equipment, and scheduling
OSHA 30 certification (required)
Experience coordinating with inspectors and public utilities (Con Edison, etc.) is valuable
