Facility Maintenance Worker

Overview:The Facilities Services Technician I plays a key role in ensuring that all buildings and grounds are safe, functional, and well-maintained. This position is ideal for a proactive and hands-on professional who takes pride in creating clean, comfortable, and welcoming environments. Working under the guidance of the Facilities Services Supervisor and Director, you’ll perform a variety of maintenance, repair, and inspection tasks across multiple building systems while contributing to a culture of service excellence and teamworkResponsibilitiesPerform routine maintenance and repairs on facilities and equipment.Participate in training programs for professional development.Conduct regular inspections to ensure safety and compliance standards.Respond promptly to maintenance requests from staff.Collaborate with team members to achieve maintenance goals.Assist in the setup and breakdown of facilities for events.Document maintenance activities and report on progress.Maintain inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment.Assist in developing maintenance schedules and plans.Implement energy-saving measures and sustainability practices.Ensure cleanliness and organization of maintenance areas.Experience/QualificationsProven experience in facilities maintenance and repair work.Willingness to participate in ongoing training and professional development.Ability to conduct safety inspections and ensure compliance standards.Self-motivated with a focus on achieving individual performance targets.Strong problem-solving skills to address maintenance requests promptly.Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.Experience in maintaining inventory of supplies and equipment.Strong organizational skills for maintaining cleanliness in work areas.Knowledge of energy-saving measures and sustainability practices.Capacity to document maintenance activities accurately and efficiently.What you must have:High school diploma or equivalent required.2–4 years of experience in facilities maintenance or a related field.Working knowledge of HVAC, mechanical, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, spa/pool systems, fire alarms, and related equipment.If you would like to apply email your resumempalkin@teemagroup.com
