Description
Our client is looking for an experienced and driven Electromechanical Supervisor to lead daily production and testing operations within a fast-paced electrical testing manufacturing environment. This role oversees technicians and assemblers, ensuring efficient workflow, high-quality assembly, accurate testing, strict safety compliance, and on-time delivery of electrical test equipment.
The Electromechanical Supervisor partners closely with Engineering, Quality, and Production teams to support build processes, troubleshoot complex technical challenges, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and maintain strong technical and safety standards across operations.
What You’ll Be Doing
Supervise, schedule, and develop technicians and assemblers to ensure balanced workloads and efficient production flow.
Oversee assembly, wiring, mechanical integration, and functional testing of electrical testing instruments and high-voltage equipment.
Ensure adherence to standardized work instructions, torque requirements, wiring diagrams, build procedures, and quality specifications.
Provide hands-on technical support to resolve complex electromechanical, wiring, assembly, or testing issues.
Enforce electrical and mechanical safety standards, including high-voltage test procedures, ESD protocols, PPE requirements, and OSHA/NFPA 70E compliance.
Support calibration, inspection, and verification processes to ensure accuracy and reliability of manufactured equipment.
Lead root-cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions for recurring defects or testing issues.
Collaborate with Engineering on design changes, prototype builds, manufacturability improvements, and technical upgrades.
Ensure all device history records, test results, assembly logs, and quality documentation are accurate and complete.
Assist in maintaining inventory of parts, tools, test fixtures, and production equipment.
Train and develop team members on processes, equipment, safety standards, troubleshooting, and quality expectations.
Champion continuous improvement initiatives including lean manufacturing, process optimization, standard work creation, and 5S.
Partner with Production Planning to prioritize work orders and meet build schedules and delivery targets.
Coordinate equipment maintenance and calibration to minimize downtime and ensure operational readiness.
What You Must Have
Bachelor’s degree preferred in a technical field.
3 years of experience in electromechanical assembly, electrical testing, or manufacturing operations.
2 years of supervisory or lead experience overseeing technicians, assemblers, or similar skilled teams.
Strong understanding of electrical circuitry, wiring, mechanical assemblies, and testing procedures.
Experience using test equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, hipot testers, insulation testers, and power supplies.
Ability to read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and mechanical drawings.
Working knowledge of high-voltage and energized electrical testing safety requirements.
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Experience in electrical testing equipment manufacturing or instrumentation production.
Familiarity with lean/5S, continuous improvement, or Six Sigma methodologies.
Experience with ERP or MES systems for production and work order tracking.
Preferred Qualifications:
Six Sigma Green Belt certification.
Certifications such as IPC, OSHA, or NFPA 70E training.
