Production Assembler

Job Summary:

The Production Associate will be involved in making the major system components that are provided directly to the Tectran customer.  This person may be asked to work on various assembly lines within the production department.   The ideal candidate will be results-driven, will have the ability to take initiative, and be able to work in a team atmosphere to deliver results.

Responsibilities:

• Assemble and package products according to work orders
• Perform quality checks
• Ensure efficiency targets are met to avoid shut down so that product moves to the next stage of the assembly process in a timely fashion
• Notify production lead person of any issues or discrepancies
• Keep work area clean and organized
• Other duties as assigned by Production Supervisor or Production Manager

Education & Experience: 

• High School Diploma or equivalent (preferred)
• Prior experience navigating a computer system and computer software (a plus)

Required Skills & Abilities:

• Strong math and analytical skills
• Ability to meet deadlines
• Flexible and adaptable with working in various production assembly lines
• Ability to read prints and/or drawings (a plus)
• Well organized
• Good attention to detail
• Good verbal communication skills

Safety Requirements:

• Employee will be required to wear the provided PPE per the role requirements
• Follow site safety and any department specific protocols
• Report safety hazards or potential safety hazards to reporting Supervisor
• Attend company safety meetings

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time
• Must be able to lift and/or carry up to 50 pounds at a time on a regular basis
• Constant use of coordination and applying dexterity
• Frequent repetitive motions
