Tecovas is looking for a Contract Video Editor to work with our marketing and creative teams to edit high-quality video content for paid and organic channels, as well as supporting the social team with content for Instagram and TikTok. The videos you'll create are as informal as a 60-second tour of a new store shot on iPhone to as formal as a 10-minute video teaching our audience how to clean and condition their boots.
This is a part-time, contract role (3 months) with potential for extension. This role is required to be based in Austin, TX with 1-2 days per week in office anticipated

What you'll do:
- Collaborating with the creative team to develop and execute video concepts that align with our brand guidelines and marketing objectives, with a focus on YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok content.
- Shooting and editing various types of video content, including product spotlights, tutorials, behind-the-scenes footage, customer testimonials, promotional materials, and platform-specific formats.
- Ensuring that all video content is consistent in style, quality, and tone of voice, and adheres to our brand standards and platform-specific best practices.
- Managing multiple projects simultaneously and delivering final video content within established timelines and budgets.
- Staying up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in editing, lighting, editing techniques, and social media platform requirements.
- Ensuring proper storage and organization of video files and assets, and maintaining equipment inventory.
- Providing creative input and participating in brainstorming sessions to develop new content ideas and strategies.
- A strong portfolio showcasing your post-production and editing skills, with a focus on lifestyle and/or product content, as well as experience creating content for YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in video editing, with a background in creating content for fashion, retail, or consumer goods brands preferred.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Premiere Pro, and Photoshop.
- Strong understanding of video post-production principles, including color, sound, and file organization.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and a keen eye for visual storytelling and aesthetics.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Ability to work collaboratively across different teams to deliver projects cross functionally.
- Employment Type: 1099 Independent Contractor

- Compensation: Competitive hourly rate based on experience, starting at $45/hr
