As a Tecnologex IT Support & Field Engineer, you’ll play a key role in ensuring our clients’ technology environments run smoothly and securely. Your day-to-day will involve:
- Providing hands-on remote and on-site support for desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and printers
- Installing, configuring, and optimizing IT hardware, software, networks, and cloud services
- Troubleshooting routers, switches, servers, and endpoint devices
- Managing structured cabling (Cat5, Cat6, fiber optic) and network configurations (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, LAN/WAN, and security)
- Managing and setting up Microsoft 365 environments
- Working with virtualization environments and implementing backup/recovery solutions
- Installing and supporting networked security systems, cameras, access control, alarms, and cybersecurity solutions
- Providing technical guidance and light end-user training
- Working independently or as part of a team, depending on project scope
- Staying up to date on new technologies and best practices in IT
- 3 years of IT support or field service experience (MSP experience preferred)
- Proficiency with help desk ticketing systems and documentation best practices
- Strong troubleshooting, networking, and cybersecurity fundamentals
- Hands-on experience with structured cabling, virtualization, Microsoft 365, and backup/recovery
- Solid understanding of Windows OS, Active Directory, and endpoint management
- Preferred certifications: CCNA, Network , Security , or equivalent
- Excellent communication and client-facing skills
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel by car and air as needed
