Senior Mobile QA

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Mobile QA Engineer to join our growing Quality Engineering team supporting mission-critical mobile applications within the Financial Services domain. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in mobile application testing, test automation, quality assurance best practices, and Agile delivery methodologies. This role requires close collaboration with Product Owners, Developers, Business Analysts, and DevOps teams to ensure the delivery of secure, scalable, and high-quality mobile solutions across iOS and Android platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test strategies for mobile applications across iOS and Android platforms.
• Create, maintain, and enhance automated test frameworks for mobile applications using industry-standard automation tools.
• Analyze business requirements, functional specifications, and user stories to develop effective test plans and test cases.
• Perform functional, integration, regression, end-to-end, usability, and performance testing.
• Collaborate closely with development teams to identify, reproduce, troubleshoot, and resolve defects throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog grooming, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
• Validate API integrations and backend services supporting mobile applications.
• Ensure compliance with security, regulatory, and quality standards applicable to financial applications.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives for QA processes, automation coverage, and release quality.
• Monitor test execution results, generate quality metrics, and provide regular status updates to stakeholders.
• Mentor junior QA engineers and contribute to best practices across the Quality Engineering organization.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor''s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
• 8 years of experience in Software Quality Assurance.
• 5 years of hands-on experience testing native and/or hybrid mobile applications.
• Strong experience testing applications on both iOS and Android platforms.
• Proven experience developing and maintaining mobile test automation frameworks.
• Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Experience with API testing and backend validation.
• Solid understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• API Testing: Postman, REST Assured
• CI/CD Tools: Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps
• Test Management: Jira, Xray, Zephyr, ALM
• Source Control: Git, Bitbucket
• Performance Testing: JMeter, BlazeMeter
• Cloud Testing Platforms: BrowserStack, Sauce Labs

Financial Services Domain Experience

• Prior experience testing applications within Banking, Wealth Management, Investment Management, Brokerage, Capital Markets, Retirement Services, or Financial Technology environments.
• Understanding of financial products, transactions, account management, trading platforms, or digital banking applications.
• Experience validating secure customer-facing applications handling sensitive financial data.
• Familiarity with regulatory, compliance, and security requirements within financial services environments is highly desirable.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in enterprise-scale financial organizations.
• Knowledge of DevOps and Shift-Left Testing practices.
• Experience with accessibility testing and mobile security testing.
• Relevant certifications such as ISTQB, CSTE, or Mobile Testing certifications are a plus.
