The Repair Technician will perform repair and/or service work for Company products in accordance with prescribed procedures. The job requires using a variety of hand tools and small power tools to take apart and repair the customer’s tools/products.

Repair and Recon
The Repair Technician will perform repair and/or service work for Company products in accordance with prescribed procedures. The job requires using a variety of hand tools and small power tools to take apart and repair the customer’s tools/products.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Perform all the necessary repairs.
- Read and comprehend repair order information and parts schematics.
- Diagnose the tool by performing a complete function test.
- Perform a complete function test to confirm the tool is repaired properly.
- Complete the information on the repair order form.
- Work involves the disassembly of units, diagnosis of operating difficulty, location, and
- Replace worn or defective parts within time in accordance with work instructions.
- Assist in other areas of the cell as needed such as material handling, 5’s projects, stock shelves, packing items to ship to QE, etc.
- Make decisions as to the feasibility of repairs.
- Keep records of parts used and provide data for billing and/or warranty information.
- Recognize and report operational irregularities and defective materials.
- Set up and perform electrical and mechanical tests to ensure the product's repair and/or work.

- Work from parts sheets, specifications, and drawings.
- Perform prescribed inspections.
- Technicians may also be asked to complete shipping and receiving duties.
- Under the supervision of the Lead Technician make recommendations as to warranty liability

- Responsible for quality of work, safety, and housekeeping in assigned areas.

- Prefer an education equivalent to a high school diploma or GED.
- Must have mechanical skills and diagnostic skills.
- High attention to detail.
- Basic computer and writing skills.
- One to two years of previous experience in electrical and/or mechanical repair.
- Standing for long periods of time.
- Repetitive motion.
- Frequent bending, stooping, pushing, and pulling of parts and containers.
- Frequent lifting up to 50lbs – team lifts over 50lbs.
- Able to work in various temperature conditions.

- No more than 6 attendance points
- Efficiency and Quality goals met for the previous 3 months.
- Must be in current role for 6 months.
