Job Summary
Key Responsibilities
- Perform dimensional inspection of machined components using precision measuring tools
- Perform inspections using CMMs and automated measurement systems; develop and program inspections based
on level and experience
- Interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, specifications, and inspection plans
- Support first-article inspection packages (AS9102 or equivalent)
- Support new part introduction and prototype inspection
- Conduct in-process, final, and first-article inspections to verify conformance with engineering, customer, and
quality requirements
- Document inspection results accurately and maintain inspection records
- Review and validate inspection data prior to release
- Identify nonconforming conditions and support corrective action processes
- Assist with root-cause analysis and corrective actions for dimensional issues
- Communicate inspection results clearly to manufacturing, engineering, and quality teams
- Support continuous improvement efforts related to inspection methods and quality outcomes
- Maintain a clean, organized inspection environment aligned with 5S and safety standards
- Train and support inspectors and inspection standardization as appropriate to level
Minimum Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in Quality, Manufacturing, Engineering Technology, Metrology, or a related technical discipline
or equivalent combination of education, technical training, and hands-on inspection experience
- Experience performing dimensional inspection in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T
- Experience using precision measuring equipment (calipers, micrometers, height gauges, indicators)
- Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy
- Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment
- Experience with 3D measurement and CMM operation
- Experience with AS9100, ISO 9001, or equivalent quality systems
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, or a related technical field
- Experience inspecting precision-machined components
- CMM programming experience
- Experience performing first-article inspections (FAI)
- Familiarity with inspection software and digital measurement reporting
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $40.00 - $60.00 per hour
