Role Summary
Seeking a Senior Design Engineer to lead the design and development of custom industrial equipment components, including enclosures, tanks, and related assemblies. The role involves owning projects from concept through production, ensuring designs meet customer requirements, manufacturing standards, quality expectations, and cost targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop custom mechanical systems, enclosures, tanks, and accessories.
- Create and maintain 3D models, assemblies, drawings, and BOMs using Creo CAD.
- Manage projects from requirements gathering through engineering release and production support.
- Collaborate with sales, manufacturing, procurement, and global engineering teams.
- Provide technical guidance to CAD designers and engineering resources.
- Perform root cause analysis and resolve manufacturing, assembly, and field issues.
- Support continuous improvement and product enhancement initiatives.
- Ensure designs are manufacturable, cost-effective, and compliant with engineering standards.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- 5 years of mechanical design engineering experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with Creo CAD.
- Experience designing industrial or engineered products.
- Ability to manage multiple projects independently.
- Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with power generation, engines, or industrial equipment.
- Knowledge of sheet metal design, welding, fabrication, and assembly processes.
- Experience with Windchill or similar PLM systems.
- Technical leadership or project lead experience.
- Familiarity with regulatory or standards-driven environments.
