Shipping/Inventory Clerk

Job Description

Technomark has a great opportunity for a first shift Shipping/Inventory Clerk. The Shipping/Inventory Clerk is responsible for all outgoing shipments, associated paperwork, and computer entries. They are also responsible for confirming stock going into inventory and putting it in its appropriate location; maintaining the inventory area including Common Switches/Lamps, KanBan, Technolight, etc.; processing new jobs for FIFO; and maintaining the “Pulled Stock” shelves.

Essential Job Functions:

• Verify completeness of shipment against shipping order. Route all customer shipments according to customer instructions.
• Package product to ensure proper protection of delicate product.
• Generate packing slips.
• Generate Certificate of Compliance, export documentation, and other as required.
• Generate and apply shipping labeling to the packages.
• Maintain inventory of shipping supplies.
• Contact shippers for special pick up if necessary.
• Ship other miscellaneous packages for subcontracting, etc.
• Maintain cleanliness of work area and equipment.
• Route job folders, travelers, and packing slips to appropriate departments.
• Verify information on stock sheets for recently completed jobs; put stock in its appropriate location.
• Process new jobs, check for stock and pull bin, allocate and pick any finished goods, verify components, route to scheduling.

Essential Job Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Excellent physical handling skills.
• Excellent math skills.
• Proficient on a computer, able to quickly learn new software.
• Efficient and productive.
• Good attention to detail
• Quality packaging of product to ensure that no damage occurs.

Physical Requirements

Performing the duties of this job regularly requires the employee to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must regularly lift/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move 50 pounds. Specific abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus.
