What are the responsibilities and job description for the Technology Support Level 1- District Wide position at Technology?
Primary Purpose:
Perform on-site technical work to install and maintain computer equipment and network and software applications throughout the district. Respond to work order requests by diagnosing and repairing network and computer hardware.
Qualifications:

Education/Certification: Associate degree in information technology or electronics and/or 48 college hours in the field, preferred |

Special Knowledge/Skills: Knowledge of computer workstation (Windows) and Chromebook/Chromebox devices Ability to work under stressful situations Ability to pass a national criminal history check Ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of individuals in a professional manner
Experience: One year work experience installing, maintaining, and repairing computers and peripherals |
Major Responsibilities and Duties:

Installation · Install and upgrade computers and peripherals throughout the district. · Assist with installation of network cabling and network peripherals throughout the district. · Relocate computer hardware, peripherals, and equipment as needed with proper asset inventory documentation. · Install and configure software as needed. · Assist with the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of data communications circuits and equipment. · Assist in managing network resources/administrative systems as assigned |

Equipment Repair and Maintenance · Diagnose and repair equipment, including projectors, desktops, laptops, and display boards. · Service equipment according to an established preventive maintenance schedule. · Maintain accurate updated records of preventive maintenance. · Maintain accurate records of time and materials required to perform repairs and service. |

Technical Support · Aid end users to identify and correct equipment and software related problems. |

Safety · Operate tools and equipment according to prescribed safety procedures. · Follow established safety procedures and techniques to perform job duties, including lifting, climbing, and carrying. · Correct unsafe conditions in the work area and report any conditions that are not correctable to the supervisor immediately. |

Other · Respond to after-hours emergencies as needed |
