Summer Technology Intern

GENERAL DEFINITION AND CONDITIONS OF WORK

Support school hardware and software systems.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/TYPICAL TASKS

The minimum performance expectations include, but are not limited to, the following functions/tasks:

• • Provide general technology assistance to the division technology staff.
  • Unbox and setup new technology equipment.
  • Install approved software and update patches on the district computers and laptops.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records for district equipment.
  • Communicate openly and effectively with students, parents, community patrons, staff and administration as a positive representative of Culpeper County Public School system. 
  • Assist with district technology projects in the schools as needed.
  • Perform other duties as may be assigned by the Director of Instructional Delivery or Network Engineer.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• Demonstrated ability to provide hardware and software support in a large enterprise environment;
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with others;
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
