Mechanical Designer

I have a client in the Charlottesville, VA area seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to support industrial engineering projects for manufacturing and processing facilities. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys a combination of field work, mechanical design, and project engineering.

The ideal candidate will have experience designing mechanical equipment and systems for industrial environments/Projects and be comfortable working directly with clients to develop practical engineering solutions.

This is a Temp to possible Permanent position that is required to be fully on site.

Key Responsibilities & Qualifications:

• Minimum 3 years of experience in industrial mechanical design, manufacturing, or consulting engineering environments
• Design and engineer mechanical systems, equipment, piping, skids, supports, and other industrial mechanical components
• Develop detailed mechanical drawings and fabrication packages using AutoCAD
• Read, interpret, and develop P&IDs, equipment layouts, and mechanical drawings.
• Ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining quality, accuracy, and project schedules.
