Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Electronics Assembler to join our manufacturing team. In this hands-on role, you may assemble, solder, and test electronic products in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Full training is provided – perfect for motivated individuals looking to start or grow a career in electronics.
Job Duties
- Maintain a clean and neat work area
- Ensure that the required department maintenance pre preventative Maintenance database is completed in a timely manner
- Perform required department maintenance per Preventive Maintenance database Maintain yearly respirator use certification
- Follow company and department safety and perpetrating policies and procedures
- Perform hand soldering and lead trimming tasks on various assemblies
- Log all defects found on data sheets
- Responsible for conformance to ISO 9001/AS9100 standards and requirements
- Assemble electronic components onto printed circuit boards (PCBs) using surface mount technology (SMT) and through-hole techniques
- Interpret schematics, technical drawings, and assembly instructions to accurately build electronic assemblies
- Perform hand soldering and lead trimming tasks on various assemblies
- Log all defects found on data sheets
- Follow customer requirements
- Use hand tools, power tools, calipers, and/or machining equipment to perform precise assembly tasks
- Perform electrical wiring, mechanical assembly, and integration of programmable logic controllers as required
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols
Qualifications
- Excellent attendance
- Good eye sight, able to distinguish between the full range of colors on the color spectrum to work with electronic components, wires and equipment
- Able to speak, read and understand English well
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Able to work standing or sitting for long periods of time
- Arm-hand steadiness
- Ability to perform physical activities that require considerable use of hand, arms, legs, moving whole body such as lifting and carrying 20 lbs. walking, standing and handling materials
- Ability to perform repetitive arm-hand tasks
- Able to bend and reach to move trays of boards
- Able to tolerate machine noise levels (ear plugs are provided)
- Good hand – eye coordination
- Able to wear a respirator for long periods of time
- Ability to complete complex task exactly, accurately and quickly
- Ability to work well with others
- No experience necessary – we provide on the job training
- Prior experience in manufacturing environments involving electronics is preferred but not required. On-the-job training will be provided.
