Job Title: (OTS) Calibration Technician – Electrical & Mechanical
Location: Niles, IL, In-person
Job Type: Full-time, Monday-Friday
Pay rate: $28- $36/hr (depending on experience)
Company Overview:
TMI Calibration, established in 1991, is an ISO/IEC 17025-accredited laboratory providing comprehensive calibration, repair, and asset management services for test equipment. With multiple labs across the U.S., TMI specializes in automated and on-site calibrations, clean room certifications, and custom solutions.
Position Overview:
We are seeking Calibration Technicians (Electrical and Mechanical) to join our team embedded at our client’s location. This full-time role focuses on ensuring precision and accuracy in measurement instruments
Responsibilities:
- Calibrate electrical instruments such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, signal generators, power supplies, and torque devices.
- Calibrate mechanical/dimensional instruments including micrometers, calipers, indicators, pressure gauges, and torque devices.
- Issue and review calibration certificates.
- Manage data entry and monitor orders.
- Assist with inventory control and customer service communication.
- Perform office duties, maintain lab cleanliness, and support workflow.
- Assist in electrical equipment calibration and testing under supervision.
- Prepare technical reports and other documentation.
- Handle additional assigned duties.
Requirements and Skills:
- Experience calibrating electrical or mechanical equipment (AC/DC, physical, pressure, torque, etc.).
- Customer service, administrative assistant or data entry experience.
- DOD, PMEL, or Military calibration background preferred.
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to error-free work.
- Strong organizational skills, time management, and the ability to meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills for team interaction and client collaboration.
- U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident status required.
- Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
