Field Technician, Gas industry - Entry Level

Join our dynamic team as a Field Technician and become a vital part of our team. Technical Compliance Solutions (TCS) is a full-service Natural Gas Compression company. We are seeking entry-level candidates for a Field Mechanic position with a strong work ethic, strong communication skills, and attention to detail.

Duties

The ideal candidate will collaborate with our intermediate and senior field technicians. Their key responsibilities will involve dismantling and inspecting a variety of natural gas engines, compressors, and pumps, as well as reassembling them. They will also engage in DOT-regulated driving. Additionally, the candidate will assist with maintenance and repair tasks on gas compression and process equipment at customer sites as directed.

Essential Duties

Maintains a safe and well-organized work environment. Works with others to perform Call Outs (CO) with assistance from technical experts. Learns to diagnose and repair mechanical problems on multiple compressor configurations. Completes and submits required documentation in an accurate and timely fashion.

Non-Essential Duties

Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Experience with Excel
• General mechanical knowledge
• Basic knowledge of electronics
• Basic understanding of engines and compressors.
• Experience with small hand tools, ½ drive and smaller sockets, wrenches, etc.
• Candidates are required to successfully pass a DOT drug test and go through a Federal Background Check before employment.
• The position requires shopwork, field work, and associated travel.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose issues efficiently on-site.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; willingness to travel frequently to various job sites.
• Candidates must be able to lift and carry a 50-pound load, climb ladders, have strong problem-solving skills, and be comfortable working at heights.
• Office responsibilities may include inputting data into Excel® spreadsheets, equipment repair, calibration, and maintenance.
• The position requires working in a team setting, completing responsibilities, strong written and oral communication skills, and strong computer skills.
• Knowledge of training in HSE procedures and regulations

Pay: $22.00 - $28.00 per hour
