What are the responsibilities and job description for the Refinery Process Chemical Business Development Manager position at Technical Chemical Recruiters?
Prosperous chemical manufacturer is looking for an experienced, professional business development manager (BDM) for sales of refinery process chemicals for their Houston, TX based territory. BDM will focus on new sales into large refinery accounts in a Texas territory
Primary focus of the position will be the sales process chemical applications into new accounts. BDM will need to be familiar with various chemicals used in refinery operations (corrosion inhibitors, emulsion breakers, overhead treatment chems, finished fuel additives, etc.) After establishing contact with new clients , BDM will work with planning and implementation teams to complete the bid. Afterwards BDM will move onto new sales opportunities as all maintenance and service of new accounts will be handled by the engineering team.
Specific responsibilities include:
· Meet routinely with new customers to review company performance.
· Development of new accounts primarily in the refining markets.
· Actively communicate and sell company innovations & technology at customer locations to promote long-term business relationships.
· Communicate & document value delivered by company products and services to customers.
Company offers a base salary of 150-200K plus bonus , vehicle allowance, gas mileage, expenses, cell phone, laptop, 401K contribution and comprehensive benefits package.
Company is looking for candidates with the following qualifications
· Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering or other Technical / Engineering / Science Degree required.
· At least 8 years of direct refinery process chemical sales experience
· Strong mechanical aptitude
· Proven successful sales performance
· Working knowledge of Microsoft office suite
· Ability to work from a remote, home based office
