What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pallet Inspector position at Technical Associates?
We are looking for Pallet Inspectors who will be working on-site at an industrial plant. These employees are not working on the production line. They are visually inspecting the pallets that the detergent product is placed on for damage/wear and moving the pallets with a motorized pallet jack when bringing to the inspection area and moving them back once they pass inspections. They are not operating a forklift, another contract company is doing that. This is in the warehouse section of the plant. $15.00 per hour for day shift; $16.00 per hour for night shift.

The hours are anticipated to be full-time, depending on the project. OT hours can also be expected but not guaranteed. Day and night shifts are required. Some weekend days/nights are required.

- Pallet Jack experience.
- Forklift experience.
- Must be very detail oriented.
- Previous plant experience is a plus.
- Must pass pre-employment drug test and background screening*
- Must be able to operate and work around industrial equipment.
- Must be able to walk up and down stairways to platforms.
- Must be able to work up to 12-hour shifts.
- Must walk in pedestrian walkways (due to forklift traffic).
- Must be able to recognize potential safety dangers around plant equipment and walkways.
- Must be able to wear a respirator while working on the production line/while on the plant floor.
- Must be able to lift and move up to a 50-pound load.
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time (majority of work will be conducted from a standing position).
- Must be capable of walking the distance from the parking lot to the designated job area (maybe 1 mile ), in addition to walking throughout a large manufacturing plant during course of the day for required meetings and other required duties.
- Must be physically capable of repetitive hand motion (maybe folding, bending, lifting, and sorting corrugated boxes in a continuous manner for 75% of the time during a 12-hour shift).
- Must be able to pass a Vision Test.
