Technica LLC seeks to recruit for the position of Production Control Clerk on a Government contract supporting the White Sands Test Center mission at White Sands Missile Range, New Mexico.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Create, process, update, monitor, and close automated and non-automated maintenance work orders in GCSS-Army.
  • Compile and record production data from customer work requests, maintenance work orders, continuation sheets, equipment inspection forms, worker production documents, and other authorized source documents.
  • Monitor assigned work orders from initial receipt through completion and ensure status changes, production milestones, delays, and completion information are accurately recorded.
  • Notify the appropriate supervisor or lead of work-order delays, missing documentation, unusual circumstances, or conditions that may affect scheduled completion.
  • Prepare recurring and special production reports concerning:
    • Work-order volume and status.
    • Scheduled and unscheduled maintenance.
    • Completed and pending work.
    • Material and repair-part consumption.
    • Production rates and workload.
    • Quality-control discrepancies.
    • Backlog and schedule performance.
  • Compile, tabulate, calculate, and validate production information using GCSS-Army, spreadsheets, databases, calculators, and approved office software.
  • Prepare written production schedules based on established guidelines, maintenance priorities, available capacity, and direction received from supervisors or leads.
  • Sort and distribute work orders, production documents, maintenance packets, schedules, and related materials to authorized personnel.
  • Coordinate with maintenance personnel, supply personnel, quality-control personnel, customers, supervisors, leads, and authorized outside organizations to support the timely and economical completion of work orders.
  • Maintain material inventory records associated with assigned maintenance work orders.
  • Prepare and submit repair-part and material requisitions through GCSS-Army in accordance with established procedures and approved authorization levels.
  • Monitor the status of repair-part and material requisitions and communicate shortages, delays, cancellations, or other issues affecting maintenance production.
  • Review maintenance and supply documentation for completeness and accuracy, including:
    • DA Form 2404, Equipment Inspection and Maintenance Worksheet.
    • DA Form 5988-E, Equipment Maintenance and Inspection Worksheet.
    • DA Form 2407, Maintenance Request.
    • DA Form 2407-1, Maintenance Request Continuation Sheet.
    • Other applicable Army and Department of Defense forms.
  • Refer incomplete, conflicting, or technically questionable documentation to the appropriate supervisor, lead, or technician for resolution.
  • Maintain electronic and hard-copy files of documents received, processed, and prepared.
  • Archive completed work orders and supporting documentation in accordance with applicable records-management procedures.
  • Provide professional customer service through clear communication, active listening, accurate status information, and timely follow-up.
  • Maintain the workstation and department area in a safe, clean, and professional condition.
  • Comply with applicable Army regulations, contract procedures, company policies, safety requirements, and records-management requirements.
  • Maintain a safe work record and wear required personal protective equipment when working in industrial, maintenance, warehouse, or field areas.
  • Perform other related clerical production-control duties consistent with the Production Control Clerk classification, as assigned by the Manager, Supervisor, or Lead.

Basic Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Hands-on experience using GCSS-Army in a military maintenance, production-control, supply-support, or related logistics environment.
  • Ability to create, update, monitor, research, and report work-order and material-requisition information using GCSS-Army.
  • Working knowledge of AESIP and Logistics Data Analysis Center applications.
  • Knowledge of Army maintenance and supply documentation, including DA Forms 2404, 5988-E, 2407, and 2407-1.
  • Knowledge of applicable documentation requirements under Army Regulation 710-4 and associated Army maintenance and supply procedures.
  • Experience in preparing production reports, tracking maintenance workload, monitoring work-order status, and maintaining supporting records.
  • Ability to follow established procedures, schedules, priorities, and recording requirements.
  • Ability to identify discrepancies and refer matters requiring technical, supervisory, or management decisions to the appropriate authority.
  • Ability to communicate professionally with customers, coworkers, supervisors, leads, and outside organizations.
  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and related office applications.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous defense-contracting experience supporting motor-pool, maintenance production-control, field-maintenance, or Supply Support Activity operations.
  • Prior Military Occupational Specialty 92A experience or equivalent civilian logistics and maintenance production-control experience.
  • Experience supporting military vehicles, ground-support equipment, heavy-equipment, or general-support maintenance operations.
  • Familiarity with Army maintenance management, repair-part requisitioning, technical manuals, and applicable DA and Department of Defense forms.

Requirements:

  • Must possess a valid U.S. driver's license.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must be able to read, write, understand, and communicate effectively in English.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or U.S. permanent resident who meets the eligibility requirements for a National Agency Check with Inquiries and Common Access Card.
  • Must successfully complete applicable pre-employment background screening and drug-testing requirements.
  • Must be able to work independently within established procedures and as part of a team.
  • Must be available to work extended hours, weekends, alternate shifts, or adjusted schedules when required by the mission.
  • Most duties are performed in an office or production-control area located within or near an industrial maintenance environment.
  • Must be able to work periodically in maintenance shops, motor pools, warehouses, field locations, and industrial environments.
  • Must be able to work in extreme weather conditions, including heat, cold, wind, rain, snow, and blowing sand.
  • Must be able to sit or stand for extended periods, including at least two continuous hours.
  • Must be able to walk through maintenance, storage, and production areas.
  • Must be capable of climbing onto equipment or working at heights up to 10 feet when necessary to verify identifying information or documentation.
  • Must be able to lift, carry, or move documents, packages, parts, or materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Must wear required personal protective equipment while entering or working in designated industrial or field areas.
