Position Overview
The Technical Sales Representative will be responsible for driving revenue growth by delivering both technical expertise and sales support for advanced labeling and packaging solutions. This role requires a strong understanding of materials, printing processes, and packaging applications, combined with excellent relationship-building and business development skills. The representative will collaborate closely with customers and internal technical teams to ensure successful solution delivery and long-term partnership development.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and grow a portfolio of customers within assigned territories or industry verticals.
- Identify customer needs, evaluate technical requirements, and propose effective labeling and packaging solutions.
- Conduct product demonstrations, technical presentations, and customer training sessions.
- Work closely with internal teams—R&D, Engineering, Quality, and Production—to support customer trials, product qualification, and issue resolution.
- Prepare quotes, proposals, and cost/benefit analyses to support the sales process.
- Drive the complete sales cycle, from lead generation to deal closure, ensuring high customer satisfaction.
- Track market trends, emerging technologies, and competitive activities to identify new opportunities.
- Represent the organization at trade shows, exhibitions, and customer meetings.
- Maintain accurate CRM updates, sales forecasts, and activity reports.
- Provide timely technical support and coordinate solutions for customer challenges.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Packaging Science, Printing Technology, Business, or a related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in technical sales, preferably within packaging, labels, printing, plastics, or related manufacturing environments.
- Solid understanding of printing technologies such as flexographic, digital, or gravure printing.
- Strong ability to explain technical concepts in a clear business context.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to travel 30–50% as needed.
- Proficiency with CRM systems and MS Office tools.
