Entry-Level Software Engineer
Location: Painted Post, NY (Onsite)
Duration: 1 year with potential extension

Job Summary:
We are seeking an Entry-Level Software Engineer to develop and support software used in manufacturing, measurement, inspection, machine vision, data collection, image processing, and reporting systems.
New graduates are welcome to apply if they have relevant academic, internship, or project experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, test, debug, and maintain software applications.
- Work with sensors, cameras, motion systems, lighting, and machine data.
- Troubleshoot software issues and implement improvements.
- Support software projects from development through testing and deployment.
- Work with engineering and manufacturing teams to solve technical problems.
- Follow software development and quality processes.
Required Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or a related field.
- 0–3 years of software development experience.
- Knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming and software design.
- Experience with one or more of: C#, Python, C , Java, MATLAB, Web Services, or Microservices.
- Familiarity with JavaScript, TypeScript, Vue, React, Angular, or similar web technologies.
- Experience with Git, GitLab, SVN, Visual SourceSafe, or other version-control tools.
- Understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Strong problem-solving, testing, and debugging skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with relational databases and data analysis.
- Knowledge of enterprise applications.
- Understanding of inter-process communication.
- Basic knowledge of control systems.
- Exposure to machine vision, image processing, or machine learning is a plus.
Soft Skills:
- Good verbal and written communication.
- Strong problem-solving and teamwork skills.
- Self-motivated and results-oriented.
- Ability to work with different teams and present technical information.
Work Schedule:
- Typically 40 hours per week.
- Occasional weekends, holidays, or extended hours may be required based on project needs.
