What are the responsibilities and job description for the Solutions Architect position at TechLine Consulting?
Senior Solutions Architect with a strong background in ERP systems and EDI integrations to help shape and evolve the technology landscape. This role will lead the design and integration of business-critical platforms, ensuring seamless connectivity between ERP systems, external partners, and internal applications.
Solution Architecture & Design
Lead the development of scalable, secure architecture solutions across ERP and integration platforms
Translate business needs into well-structured technical designs and solution blueprints
Establish and maintain architecture standards, documentation, and best practices
ERP Strategy & Delivery
Partner with internal teams and external vendors to design and optimize ERP environments (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics, Oracle)
Drive ERP initiatives including upgrades, migrations, and modernization efforts
Ensure alignment between ERP systems and key business processes such as order management, procurement, inventory, and financial operations
Define how ERP systems integrate with surrounding platforms (CRM, WMS, TMS, eCommerce, etc.)
EDI & B2B Integration
Design and support EDI solutions connecting customers, suppliers, and third-party partners
Oversee integrations using standard formats (ANSI X12, EDIFACT) and protocols (AS2, SFTP, APIs)
Guide onboarding of new trading partners and ensure compliance with integration requirements
Support mapping, testing, monitoring, and issue resolution for EDI transactions
Integration Architecture
Define and implement enterprise integration approaches using APIs, middleware, and iPaaS solutions
Enable connectivity across cloud and on-premise systems
Evaluate tools and technologies to improve integration performance and scalability
Leadership & Collaboration
Act as a technical leader and mentor for developers and integration teams
Partner with business stakeholders to align technical solutions with organizational goals
Work closely with vendors and implementation partners to deliver successful outcomes
Governance & Continuous Improvement
Establish architecture governance frameworks and standards
Ensure solutions meet security, compliance, and performance expectations
Monitor system performance and lead efforts to optimize and resolve issues
What You Bring
Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems or a related field
7 years of experience in ERP, enterprise architecture, or systems integration
4 years in a Solutions Architect or similar leadership role
Hands-on experience with ERP platforms such as Microsoft Dynamics (GP or D365) or Oracle Fusion
Familiarity with EDI platforms
Experience designing enterprise-level integration solutions
Solid knowledge of business processes across finance and supply chain
Strong communication and leadership skills
Salary : $150,000 - $170,000
