The Business Analyst (BA) with Empower and mortgage experience will play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between business needs and technology solutions within the mortgage banking sector.
This individual will focus on the implementation, optimization, and support of Black Knight Empower Loan Origination System (LOS) and related mortgage processes.
The BA will collaborate with stakeholders across IT, business units, and vendor partners to ensure mortgage solutions align with organizational goals and regulatory requirements.
Key Skills/Responsibilities:-
- Gather, analyze, and document business requirements for mortgage processes, with a primary focus on Empower LOS functionality and integration.
- Work closely with mortgage operations, underwriting, processing, closing, and post-closing teams to understand workflows, identify gaps, and recommend technology-driven improvements.
- Translate business needs into clear, actionable requirements for technical teams; create detailed business requirement documents (BRDs), user stories, and process flows.
- Lead and participate in the configuration, testing, and deployment of Empower LOS enhancements and integrations with downstream systems (e.g., imaging, compliance, pricing engines).
- Coordinate and execute user acceptance testing (UAT), ensuring solutions meet business expectations and compliance standards.
- Provide subject matter expertise on mortgage lending regulations and industry best practices as they relate to system functionality and process design.
- Develop training materials and conduct end-user training sessions for new system features or process changes.
- Monitor and report on project progress, risks, and issues to stakeholders and leadership.
- Support troubleshooting and root cause analysis for production issues related to Empower LOS or mortgage workflows.
