Part-Time Help Desk / Technical Support Specialist (20 hrs/week)
Location: Boise, ID (Onsite or Hybrid)
About the Role:
We are seeking a Part-Time Help Desk / Technical Support Specialist to provide high-quality technical and customer support. In this role, you’ll assist internal staff and external customers with troubleshooting, system access, and technical inquiries, helping ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Respond to user inquiries via phone, email, or chat regarding technical issues and service requests.
- Provide step-by-step assistance with online systems and user portals.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and connectivity issues for staff and customers.
- Reset passwords, unlock accounts, and assist users with authentication or access problems.
- Escalate complex technical issues to higher-level IT or systems teams when necessary.
- Document incidents, service requests, and resolutions accurately in the ticketing system.
- Assist with software installations, updates, and system testing.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure timely resolution of all support requests.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with non-technical users to deliver excellent customer service.
Qualifications:
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Associate degree in Information Technology or a related field preferred.
Experience:
- 1–3 years of experience in IT Help Desk, Technical Support, or Customer Support roles.
- Experience supporting Windows OS, Microsoft Office 365, and basic networking.
- Experience with government or enterprise systems preferred.
Skills:
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira, Zendesk).
