Full-time, Direct Hire in Chesapeake, VA
We seek an experienced Finance Director to provide strategic financial leadership, ensuring the company's fiscal health and regulatory adherence within the federal contracting environment. This is a full-time, salaried, on-site position in Chesapeake, VA.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Financial Oversight: Develop and execute financial strategies, driving growth and profitability in partnership with executive leadership.
- Compliance & Accounting: Direct all accounting functions, maintain DCAA-compliant internal controls, and ensure adherence to FAR, CAS, and GAAP.
- Government Contracting Finance: Oversee indirect rate structure, manage annual audits, incurred cost submissions, and tax filings.
- Pricing & Proposals: Partner on compliant and competitive pricing strategies; review cost volumes and support contract negotiations.
- Team Leadership: Lead and develop the finance and accounting team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Financial Management: Optimize processes for budgeting, forecasting, cash management, revenue recognition, and invoicing.
Essential Qualifications
- 10 years of progressive finance/accounting experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role in federal government contracting.
- Deep expertise in FAR, CAS, DCAA, DCMA, and GAAP.
- Proven experience managing indirect rates and incurred cost submissions.
- Strong background in budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning.
- Demonstrated knowledge of FFP, T&M, and CP contract types.
- Hands-on experience with Cost Point ERP is required.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting.
- Excellent communication, executive presence, and proven ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced GovCon environment.
