Job Description:
Key Responsibilities
• System Configuration: Design and configure core Workday Payroll components including tax tables, banking and settlements, arrears, and deductions.
• Requirements Gathering: Lead client-facing workshops to analyze existing payroll processes and align Workday capabilities with business goals.
• Integrations & Data Migration: Collaborate with technical teams to map, convert, and test legacy payroll data and integrate Workday with Time Tracking, Absence, and third-party systems.
• Testing & Quality Assurance: Support customers through testing cycles (UAT), execute test scripts, triage issues, and resolve system anomalies.
• Ongoing Support & Compliance: Provide production support, manage off-cycle/on-cycle payments, and adjust configurations in response to changing tax legislation.
Typical Qualifications
• Workday Certification: Active or pending certification in Workday Core HCM and Workday Payroll (e.g., US, UK, or Canada Payroll) is highly preferred.
• Experience: 3-5 years of hands-on experience in payroll operations or end-to-end Workday Payroll implementations.
• Knowledge Base: Deep understanding of payroll processing frameworks, statutory compliance, and integration with Core HCM.
• Soft Skills: Strong analytical capabilities, stakeholder management, and the ability to articulate technical payroll concepts clearly to HR/Finance executive
