Cloud Infrastructure Design & Implementation
- Design, provision, and manage scalable, secure, and highly available AWS infrastructure (VPC, EC2, EKS, RDS, S3, IAM, Route 53, CloudWatch, etc.).
- Define and implement infrastructure-as-code (IaC) using Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
- Establish networking, security, and governance standards aligned with AWS Well-Architected Framework.
- Set up CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure provisioning and application deployments.
Kubernetes Platform Engineering
- Deploy, configure, and operate Amazon EKS clusters in production environments.
- Manage containerization strategies and support Kubernetes workloads.
- Implement Kubernetes best practices including namespace management, RBAC, pod security policies, autoscaling (HPA/Cluster Autoscaler), and resource quotas.
- Integrate observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and CloudWatch Container Insights.
- Maintain Helm charts and manage deployments via GitOps workflows (e.g., ArgoCD or Flux).
On-Prem to Cloud Migration
- Assess existing on-premises infrastructure, including middleware platforms (e.g., TIBCO BusinessWorks, EMS).
- Collaborate with application and integration teams to map data flows, dependencies, and integration patterns.
- Identify cloud-native or managed alternatives for legacy components (e.g., Amazon MQ, MSK, EventBridge).
- Lead migration and modernization efforts to transition workloads to AWS.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- 10 years of experience architecting and managing AWS infrastructure in production environments.
- 3 years of hands-on Kubernetes experience (EKS or self-managed clusters).
- Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred; CloudFormation acceptable).
- Proficiency in Linux system administration and scripting (Bash/Python).
- Solid understanding of networking concepts (VPC, subnets, routing, VPN, Direct Connect, Transit Gateway).
- Experience with container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, Helm).
- Ability to troubleshoot and reverse-engineer middleware architectures.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across architecture, development, and business teams.
- Experience with middleware platforms (TIBCO BusinessWorks, EMS, Kafka, Solace, etc.).
- Hands-on experience with AWS messaging and integration services (Amazon MQ, MSK, SQS/SNS).
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools and GitOps practices (Flux, ArgoCD).
- Experience with API management and gateway solutions (AWS API Gateway, Kong, Apigee).
- Relevant certifications preferred (AWS Certified Solutions Architect/DevOps Engineer, CKA/CKAD
