Role : IT Asset Manager
Location : San Jose, CA ( Onsite)
JD :
- Maintain up-to-date and accurate records of all IT assets, including hardware, software
- Oversee the entire asset lifecycle—from procurement to retirement, ensuring that all processes meet organizational requirements.
- Coordinate with various teams such as IT, engineering, procurement, and finance teams to track asset movements, assignments, and disposals, maintaining accuracy throughout.
- Develop and implement asset tracking, auditing, and reporting processes that integrations, automations to a no touch process.
- Generate regular and ad-hoc reports on asset inventory, utilization, and compliance for service owner, project requests and management review.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to asset data integrity with associated systems in IT infrastructure, guaranteeing compliance with internal and external standards.
- Maintain application & infrastructure required for asset management.
- Establish best practices in IT asset management.
Required Skills :
- Demonstrated hands-on experience managing IT assets in a medium to large organization, with a proven track record of meeting compliance requirements.
- Strong working knowledge of OpenText or similar enterprise asset tracking tools.
- Solid understanding of IT infrastructure components, including servers, storage, networking, and end-user devices.
- Proven Integration knowledge & experience combining business applications and infrastructure services
- Strong knowledge in understanding business needs and delivering reporting requirements.
- Strong knowledge of web applications, their deployment.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail and compliance requirements.
- Ability to communicate eAectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience with ITIL or other IT service management and compliance frameworks.
- Experience with defining & building a process; process automation and workflow opimization within asset management systems.
- Familiarity with compliance standards and audit requirements related to IT assets, such as SOX, GDPR, or ISO certifications.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
- Certification in IT Asset Management e.g. CITAM or compliance is advantageous.
