Delivery Head

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Project Manager to lead our data engineering projects within the Software Development domain. The ideal candidate will possess extensive project management knowledge and a proven track record of successfully delivering complex software projects on time and within budget. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent communication skills and the ability to manage cross functional teams effectively.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage multiple data engineering projects from initiation to closure, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
• Develop detailed project plans, including scope, timelines, resources, and budget management.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure project deliverables meet quality standards.
• Facilitate regular project meetings, providing updates on progress, risks, and issues to stakeholders.
• Identify and mitigate project risks, ensuring proactive problem solving and decision making.
• Manage project resources, including team members, vendors, and third-party contractors.
• Implement project management best practices and methodologies to enhance project delivery.
• Monitor project performance and prepare reports for senior management and stakeholders.
• Foster a collaborative team environment, promoting knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.

Mandatory Skills:

• Strong project management knowledge and experience, with a focus on software development and data engineering.
• Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum, Waterfall).
• Exceptional leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with data engineering technologies and frameworks.
• Familiarity with software development life cycle (SDLC) processes.
• Knowledge of data analytics and business intelligence tools.
• Certifications in project management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) are a plus.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 15 years of experience in project management, specifically in software development and data engineering.
• Demonstrated success in leading large-scale projects with cross functional teams.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.

The pay range for this role is $170,000 - $180,000 per annum including any bonuses or variable pay.
