We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator to manage the full cycle of domestic and international expedited shipments. This role requires strong coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills to ensure time-sensitive freight moves seamlessly through our supply chain. The ideal candidate will work closely with vendors, carriers, internal teams, and 3PL partners while proactively resolving issues to support on-time delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end shipment processes—from booking with vendors to final delivery—for both domestic and international freight.
- Identify opportunities to reduce transit time on urgent shipments while managing costs effectively.
- Track and monitor all shipment milestones throughout the expedited process.
- Partner closely with merchandise vendors, domestic carriers, and distribution centers to ensure timely pickups and deliveries.
- Collaborate with cross-functional internal teams, transportation providers, and warehouse operations to ensure smooth handoffs for critical shipments.
- Exercise independent judgment in daily logistics operations and escalate any issues that could impact delivery timelines.
- Communicate shipment updates and critical information clearly, concisely, and professionally to internal and external stakeholders.
- Anticipate potential challenges and implement solutions quickly to prevent delays.
- Analyze and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), manage logistics data reports, and own performance metrics that drive business results.
- Prepare and present performance and data analyses to leadership, evaluating carriers, vendors, and internal operations.
- Conduct meetings with vendor teams via phone or virtual platforms to resolve issues and coordinate timely shipments.
- Ensure proper approvals, documentation, and financial governance policies are followed for expedited shipments.
- Maintain exceptional responsiveness with a strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
- Utilize ERP systems and Transportation Management Systems (TMS) to manage daily logistics tasks.
- Willingness to work extended shifts when supporting urgent, time-sensitive shipments.
Qualifications
- 3–5 years of experience in Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field.
- Hands-on experience with international import/export operations; 3PL experience preferred.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple shipments under tight deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with internal teams, external suppliers, and 3PL partners.
- Strong conflict-resolution skills with the ability to manage and resolve shipment-related issues.
- Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to identify discrepancies quickly.
- Ability to make real-time operational decisions with minimal supervision.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Tableau, Smartsheet, and at least one year of TMS or ERP system experience.
