We are hiring Child Care Teachers for a direct-hire opportunity in Richmond, VA. We are looking for experienced childcare professionals who enjoy creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment where young children can learn and grow.

💰 Pay: $18–$22/hour
📅 Schedule: Monday–Friday
⏰ Shift: 7.5-hour shift between 6:00 AM and 8:00 PM
• Plan and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities
• Provide a safe, supportive, and engaging classroom environment
• Support children's cognitive, social, emotional, language, and motor development
• Monitor and document children's daily progress and activities
• Communicate with parents and families regarding children's development
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom
• Follow health, safety, infection control, licensing, and regulatory requirements
• Collaborate with teachers, supervisors, and other childcare staff
• Supervise children during indoor and outdoor activities
• Participate in staff meetings, training, continuing education, and special projects
• Minimum 2 years of formal childcare experience
• Experience working with children 6 weeks to 6 years old
• Ability to work Monday–Friday with a 7.5-hour shift within the center's operating hours
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and sometimes noisy environment
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and frequent interactions with children and families
Candidates should meet one of the following:
• Two-year degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Psychology, Psychology, or a related field
OR
• High School Diploma/equivalent plus at least 40 hours of Early Childhood Education or related coursework
OR
• Equivalent combination of education and experience
• Experience working with infants and toddlers, especially 6 weeks–2 years
• Familiarity with the Reggio-inspired approach to early childhood education
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Early Childhood or Elementary Education
• Child Development Associate (CDA) Certificate
