We are seeking an experienced Bridge Engineering Department Manager to lead engineering operations, drive strategic growth, oversee financial performance, and develop a high-performing team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong bridge engineering professional with proven leadership, project management, and business development experience who is ready to make a meaningful impact on infrastructure projects and departmental growth.
Key Responsibilities
🔹 Develop and execute strategic growth plans in collaboration with office managers and practice leaders.
🔹 Drive business development, strengthen client relationships, and expand market presence.
🔹 Manage departmental budgets, financial performance, and resource allocation.
🔹 Lead and contribute to technical proposals and business development initiatives.
🔹 Provide technical guidance and support to project managers and engineering teams.
🔹 Identify staffing needs, recruit qualified professionals, and build a strong engineering team.
🔹 Conduct performance reviews, establish goals, and provide ongoing coaching and mentorship.
🔹 Foster a collaborative environment focused on professional development and continuous improvement.
Required Qualifications
✅ Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field from an accredited institution.
✅ Active Professional Engineer (PE) license.
✅ 10 years of experience in bridge engineering or a related specialized discipline.
✅ Demonstrated experience in project management and business development.
✅ Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Preferred Qualifications
⭐ Experience working with county and state government clients.
⭐ Previous supervisory or team leadership experience.
⭐ Strong communication, strategic planning, and client relationship management skills.
