Job Details:
Position: Work Control Planner 2
Location: North Central Region, New Mexico (Hybrid)
Duration: 12 Months contract with possible extension
Hybrid – Execution space will be onsite; 2 days week/onsite base level (can change as projects ramp up) Candidates should be within 2 hours of DOE client location for Hybrid schedule
9/80s; can shift based on needs of project with lead time
On Call/ OT? May have OT depending on the projects; not a lot anticipated; weather delays may cause project extensions, etc
Is driving expected, a government vehicle or private to be expected? Yes to and from home base is expected; government vehicles are available during project execution
Per diem/ relocation? Relocation may be considered / no for per diem
Clearance Level needed? Q-Clearance (ability to obtain is OK) strong preference if they already have a Q.
Will this Worker need A-Level Access? Yes
Description:
Develops and/or reviews work packages including time, material, and labor estimates, written step-by-step work instructions, procedures, and/or safety and testing requirements for the implementation and control of operations, maintenance, or modification of work activities within a given facility or area. Specific planning duties may be related to mechanical, electrical, chemical and/or radiological equipment, policies, and procedures and may also include resolving work restraints and bringing work packages to final closure.
The Asset Management Programs (AMPs) are a multidisciplinary group, providing services to DOE with a design-built model. With this model, the vendor works in three phases; Assessment, Design and construction/repair/replacement of major building systems that are common across the NNSA enterprise (e.g., roofs, electrical, cooling & heating). The AMP group uses Integrated Work Management to plan, schedule, and perform work in a safe and secure manner.
Your role will be supporting the three program leads for RAMP, CHAMP and LAMP and shall have responsible for developing and/or reviewing work packages (IWDs) including time, material, labor estimates, written step-by-step work instructions, procedures, safety and testing requirements for maintenance, construction or modification of work activities. Specific planning duties may be related to mechanical, electrical, or roofing equipment, policies, and procedures. May also include resolving work restraints and bringing work packages to final closure.
Education: Position typically requires a bachelors degree and a minimum five years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Project: RAMP roofing asset manager program; Repairs, replacement of roofs at Los alamos Funded by NNSA and from DOE Rate roofs, manage budgets and planning contractors onsite to complete roofing projects Team will be doing 5 packages next year
Work will include Safety Walks, Identifying any safety issues, planning work and project oversight
Assessments, Design and Execution, Planning and execution of pop-up work
Education/ Degree? Bachelor’s and 5 years and experience (additional experience in lieu of degree would be considered.
Software knowledge requirements? Office suite; spreadsheets, work, PPT

Not willing to be flexible as schedules sometimes needs to change to cover work; willing to work on different areas and being onsite as needed
Are there any physical requirements for this? (Lifting 50 lbs, walking up stairs, standing for extended period of time, etc?) Climb ladders, will be on roofs, walking different terrains and constructions sites

Pay: $80.60 - $85.43 per hour
