Division of Food, Nutrition, and Wellness (FNW), is seeking a Systems Software Programmer to provide analysis, development, modification, testing, implementation, and maintenance of software applications. This will involve evaluating software packages, application deployment, modifying and debugging source code, utilities, and packages as well as preparing technical documentation for software applications. Provide application development related tasks for business processes performed by FNW or that are expected to result from new business needs and/or legislative changes. The Systems Software Programmer will complete a series of tasks needed to maintain the FNW applications. The Systems Software Programmer will work full-time with Department staff to understand the intended business needs and technical requirements of tasks necessary to ensure deliverables are met and conform to Department standards. Reviews will occur through participation in Joint Application Development (JAD) sessions, design/development/testing meetings, technical documentation reviews, code reviews and/or testing.
PREFERENCE Preference will be given to candidates with: " intimate knowledge of FNW's business processes. " intimate knowledge of the Florida Direct Certification (FDC) Application. " intimate knowledge of the Florida Automated Nutrition System (FANS) Application. " intimate knowledge of the Admin Review (AR) Application. " intimate knowledge of the Partner Bridge API Application " experience with Azure/AWS Cloud Services
To accomplish the work outlined above, FDACS requires an experienced Systems Software Programmer with the following skills and experiences listed below. This list is not exhaustive; nor are all skills required. Technical Skills, written and verbal communication, and experiences will be the basis for evaluation of responses to the RFQ. " Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Information Systems, Computer Programming, or another related Information Technology field is required. Equivalent work experience may be used as an alternative for the education requirement on a year-for-year basis. " Minimum 7 years of experience in translating functional specification into technical specification from which programmers can construct the solution. " Minimum 7 years of experience designing, developing, testing, debugging, and maintaining applications and business intelligence with similar size and complexity. " Minimum 7 years of experience developing and implementing customized Microsoft .NET (Visual Studios 2019 or higher) applications using SQL Server database (RDBMS). " Minimum 7 years of experience with development and release management using multiple code branches in Azure DevOps and/or Team Foundation Server (TFS). " Minimum 7 years of experience programming in C#, .Net, ASP.NET, Microsoft Frame Work 4, HTML, JavaScript, AngularJS, MS SQL Server, MVC, WCF, WEBAPI, Entity Framework, nHibernate and latest Microsoft Technologies.
