Education & Experience Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline with 12 years of relevant experience; or
- Associate degree in a technical discipline with 16 years of relevant experience; or
- High school diploma or equivalent with 20 years of relevant experience.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Comprehensive knowledge of the assigned functional area, including facility, location, or operational support requirements.
- Thorough understanding of applicable policies, procedures, practices, regulatory requirements, and operational standards.
- Extensive experience in facility operations support and operations management.
- Strong knowledge of site services, fire protection, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), Conduct of Operations, and Conduct of Maintenance.
- Experience implementing Conduct of Operations procedures and requirements within regulated environments.
- Working knowledge of operational procedures, hazardous energy control, and Human Performance Improvement (HPI) tools.
- Understanding of fire protection requirements and operational safety practices.
- Strong mentoring and coaching skills with excellent verbal and written communication, organizational, planning, and teamwork abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Active or previously held security clearance within the past two years.
- Previous experience supporting large-scale industrial or government facilities.
- Extensive knowledge of operational regulations, facility operations, and site services support.
- Fire protection experience within regulated facilities.
Position Summary
The Senior Technical Advisor / Lead Operations Support Specialist plans, develops, implements, and administers technical, operational, and administrative functions supporting facility operations. This role provides leadership, oversight, technical guidance, and operational support to work groups and operations personnel.
Key Responsibilities
- Support site services operations and maintenance activities.
- Conduct independent oversight of operations, maintenance, infrastructure, and functional maintenance activities.
- Monitor operational performance and identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities.
- Support work control processes, procedure reviews, and operational readiness activities.
- Provide technical mentoring and coaching to junior and mid-level personnel.
- Deliver expertise in Conduct of Operations and Conduct of Maintenance practices.
- Support contingency coordination activities and operational assessments.
- Recommend improvements to onboarding, qualification, and workforce development processes.
Work Schedule
- Standard 40-hour work week.
- Schedules may include:
- 5/8 schedule
- 4/10 schedule
- 9/80 schedule
- Overtime and occasional alternate shift support may be required based on operational needs.
Security Requirements
- Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
- Active clearance is not required at the time of hire.
- Contractor must maintain required facility and compliance approvals.
