About the Role
The Senior Accounting Specialist (AP/AR) is responsible for the day-to-day execution and integrity of accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, while supporting broader accounting operations. This role plays a critical part in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring timely cash flow management, and supporting close processes in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.
Responsibilities
- Accounts Payable
- Review, code, and process vendor invoices accurately and timely
- Match invoices to purchase orders and supporting documentation
- Manage payment cycles (ACH, wire, check)
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
- Accounts Receivable
- Prepare and issue customer invoices
- Post and apply incoming payments accurately
- Monitor aging reports and follow up on balances
- Accounting & Operational Support
- Record financial transactions per company policy
- Assist with reconciliations and close processes
Qualifications
- 3–6 years of accounting experience
- Strong understanding of accounting fundamentals
- Proficiency in Excel and accounting systems
Required Skills
- Experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite, QuickBooks, or Bill.com
Preferred Skills
- Work Environment: Office-based role with standard business hours
