Backup Deskside Support Engineer β Onsite
π Location: Hesston, KS (Onsite)
We are looking for a Backup Deskside Support Engineer with 3β5 years of IT support experience to provide onsite technical support and assist remote infrastructure teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide onsite deskside and infrastructure support.
- Troubleshoot network devices, switches, routers, and wireless access points.
- Support basic VLAN configurations and network connectivity issues.
- Assist with Avaya VoIP phone troubleshooting.
- Perform data center and IDF room checks for power, cooling, and hardware health.
- Support server, storage, and backup systems.
- Monitor IT infrastructure using tools such as SolarWinds.
- Manage and update tickets using ServiceNow or similar ITSM tools.
- Coordinate with internal teams, customers, and vendors to resolve technical issues.
Required Skills:
- 3β5 years of IT Infrastructure or Deskside Support experience.
- Basic knowledge of networking (Cisco preferred).
- Experience with Windows Server, Linux, and hardware troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with ServiceNow or other ITSM tools.
- Knowledge of backup technologies such as EMC Avamar is a plus.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
