Outside Sales Lead (West, TN)

BASIC JOB SUMMARY:

The Outside Sales Lead is responsible for leading and overseeing the team of Outside Sales Representatives, to drive customer growth and retention in competitive markets. This position assists the Senior Sales Operations Manager in ensuring the team is consistently achieving monthly sales goals through strong leadership, effective training, and continuous performance monitoring. This role is critical in connecting to the communities we serve by offering best-in-class internet services through door-to-door solicitation of new prospective customers.   

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Responsible for assisting the Senior Sales Operations Manager in leading the residential Outside Sales team in servicing, maintaining and growing customer base in a fast-paced and competitive environment
• Directly leads Outside Sales Representatives, ensuring they consistently achieve individual minimum standards and team sales targets. They will provide reports showing team and individual performance, growth in products and services, and revenue generated
• Implements structured coaching programs to improve objection handling, closing skills, and customer engagement
• Works closely with the Senior Sales Operations Manager to ensure that efforts and resources are providing successful results
• Assists Outside Sales Representatives in selling to grow residential revenue through add-on and up-sell of existing base, as well as manage target market areas to add new accounts
• Oversees updates and ensures that customer accounts are documented appropriately with customer notes, calls, documents, etc.
• Ensures accurate and timely documentation of sales activities in CRM systems  
• Coordinates and assists Senior Sales Operations Manager in revising and implementing sales strategies and market outreach plans
• Assists the team with outbound sales calling, as needed
• Maintains compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies in all customer interactions  
• May be required to attend functions such as chamber events, community sponsored events, TEC marketing events, etc. as a TEC representative
• May be required to travel to assist with residential sales development and training in other markets
• May be asked to work occasional alternate scheduling to achieve necessary call results
• Requires willingness and enthusiasm to learn and apply new sales techniques
• Must work well with customers, business sales teams, and other departments within the TEC organization
• Works closely with Senior Sales Operations Manager to lead and oversee fringe market areas and campaigns to expand and grow residential
