Tec Group is joining our client in Chicago on their search for an experienced Senior Accountant to join their growing team. This role will be responsible for overseeing financial reporting, reconciliations, and month-end close processes, as well as supporting budgeting and internal controls. The ideal candidate has a strong accounting background, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reports.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Support internal and external audits, preparing necessary documentation.
- Work with cross-functional teams to improve financial processes and reporting.
- Maintain and strengthen internal controls to safeguard company assets.
- Assist in process automation and system improvements to enhance efficiency.
What You Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or CPA candidate preferred).
- 4 years of accounting experience (public accounting or industry experience preferred).
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls.
Salary : $70,000 - $95,000
