The Clinical Practice Manager serves as the liaison between the Behavioral Health facilities and the regional leadership. The Clinical Practice Manager, under the direction of the Vice President of Operations (VPO) Behavioral Health, is responsible for operational performance of the facilities in their assigned region.
The Behavioral Health market for this position is Upstate New York to include Rochester, Utica, Syracuse, Buffalo and Albany. Candidates must live within the market. Though the position is remote, expect to travel within the market two days per week.

Responsibilities
Client Relations / Business Development
- Ensures strong relationships, retention of existing referral sources, and new referrals. Ambassador for the Behavioral Health program
- Consistently fosters a commitment to customer service in all areas of responsibility
- Consistently displays professionalism in dealing with customers, staff, and clinicians
- Develop and implement business development and retention strategies with managed care organizations, facilities and community care physicians
- Recommends process improvements to gain operational and/or administrative efficiencies and sees through implementation
- Manages daily operations and recommends improvements to the practice as it relates to KPI's and Provider Satisfaction
- Helps coordinate coverage schedules to ensure adequate staffing to meet patient care needs
- Implements policies and procedures that guide and support the practice operations
- Participates in Recruitment for new providers for the Behavioral Health team
- Lead onsite meetings with providers and client facilities on a quarterly basis
- Assesses department needs for resources, supplies, equipment, and staff to provide quality services and reduce operational costs
- Consistently meet budget for areas of responsibility
- Presents new programs/processes that reduce cost and/or improve quality of care, and manages these thru approval and implementation phases
- Maintains established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, and standards compliance
- Maintains records and documents to evaluate the quantity and timeliness of work
- Serves as primary support for the providers in their daily duties
- Collaborates with the medical community to help ensure effective care transitions
- Provides administrative support for minutes and agendas of team meetings
- Enhances Patient and Provider Satisfaction
- Oversees new hire orientation for thorough onboarding processes
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 3 to 5 years of work experience in a healthcare related field
- BS or equivalent, in a healthcare related field
- Knowledge of basic math and the ability to perform math functions
- Ability to analyze and create complex financial schedules
- Ability to work well under pressure of meeting deadlines and with difficult people
- Ability to establish priorities and be flexible enough to adapt to changing ones
- Ability to multi-task
- Ability to communicate effectively – orally, in writing, in person and on the telephone – with all categories of people within the company and potential affiliates
- Knowledge of spelling, grammar, punctuation and English usage sufficient to write professional presentations
- Knowledge of medical terminology is a plus
- Knowledge of computer sufficient to produce reports accurately and efficiently
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word
- Ability to work independently and in an organized manner
- Ability to establish goals and demonstrated ability to complete projects by deadlines
- Ability to travel up to 50% within the market
- Ability to attend company and professional functions after normal work hours
