Customer Support and Consortium Specialist

TeamCME LLC
Pendleton, OR Full Time
POSTED ON 6/5/2026
AVAILABLE BEFORE 8/5/2026

Overview

TeamCME is seeking a reliable, detail-oriented person to join our team in a combined Consortium Specialist, Customer Support, and Order Fulfillment role. This role requires someone who can stay calm, professional, and focused in a busy environment where accuracy matters.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys staying organized, completing tasks accurately, helping customers, and learning new processes.

Your primary focus will be assisting with employer consortium account setup, change requests, reporting, document processing, data entry, and other consortium-related administrative tasks.

You will also spend a significant amount of time providing customer support by phone and email, answering questions, responding to requests, documenting issues, explaining basic processes, and helping ensure customers receive timely follow-up.

In addition, you will assist with order fulfillment, help maintain product and supply inventory, and support other administrative tasks as needed.

The right person will be dependable, willing to learn, comfortable asking questions, and interested in growing into a role where they become well-versed in DOT consortium rules, drug and alcohol testing procedures, and compliance-related workflows.

Responsibilities

Consortium Specialist and Customer Support

  • Process employer consortium account setup requests, change requests, documents, reports, and data entry tasks.
  • Learn and follow internal procedures related to DOT consortium services, drug testing, alcohol testing, and compliance-related workflows.
  • Develop a strong working understanding of DOT consortium rules and procedures in order to answer questions accurately and perform the role effectively.
  • Respond to customer inquiries by phone and email in a professional and helpful manner.
  • Answer customer questions, explain basic processes, and help customers understand next steps.
  • Document customer questions, issues, requests, and follow-up needs clearly and accurately.
  • Work with team members to resolve customer issues and ensure proper follow-through.
  • Perform additional administrative and customer support tasks based on business needs.

Order Fulfillment and Inventory

  • Process customer orders accurately and prepare shipments for delivery.
  • Package and label orders according to company procedures.
  • Deliver outgoing shipments to the local Post Office or shipping location as needed.
  • Monitor inventory levels for products, forms, supplies, and shipping materials.
  • Notify management when inventory is low or supplies need to be reordered.
  • Keep the fulfillment area organized, clean, and efficient.
  • Follow established procedures to help ensure orders are completed correctly and on time.

What We Are Looking For

We are looking for someone who is dependable, organized, and willing to learn. The ideal candidate is comfortable handling compliance-related tasks, customer communication, and hands-on fulfillment work. This person should be able to manage details carefully, communicate clearly, and maintain a positive attitude even when the workday is busy.

You do not need to already know DOT drug testing or consortium services. We are willing to train the right person, but they must be eager to learn, pay attention to detail, ask questions when needed, and take pride in doing things correctly. Over time, this person should be able to grow into the role and become knowledgeable enough about DOT consortium rules and procedures to handle routine questions, recognize issues, and know when something needs to be escalated.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Outlook, Teams, or similar tools.
  • Ability to learn new software systems.
  • Ability to communicate professionally with customers by phone and email.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently.
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
  • Dependable with excellent attendance.
  • Reliable transportation.
  • Willingness to learn DOT-related procedures, consortium rules, and compliance workflows.
  • Ability to lift, maneuver, and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to sit or stand for periods of up to 2 hours.
  • Ability to perform repetitive motions with arms, elbows, wrists, hands, and fingers.
  • Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
  • Able to pass a criminal background check and drug screening.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience working in a regulated, healthcare, transportation, compliance, or drug testing environment.
  • Experience with document processing, data entry, or order management systems.
  • Customer service experience.

Why This Role Matters
