Role Description
This is a full-time on-site position located in Richmond, VA, for a Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) on the Residential Crisis Stabilization Unit team. In this role, the Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) in the Residential Crisis Stabilization Unit (RCSU) provides direct therapeutic, skill-building, and crisis intervention services to individuals experiencing acute behavioral health crises. The QMHP supports stabilization, safety, and recovery by implementing individualized treatment interventions in a structured residential setting.
Qualifications
- Comprehensive knowledge and experience in Mental Health Care and Psychology
- Ability to effectively perform Case Management and Mental Health support tasks
- Proficiency in Crisis Intervention strategies and techniques
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage with clients and interdisciplinary teams
- VA-designated or licensed as a Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP-A or QMHP-C)
- Understanding of community resources and support systems
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related field
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, crisis-oriented environment
- Experience with electronic health records is a plus
